Reason Why your Modeling Profile is getting Rejected Again and Again
In the world of Glamour, everyone wants to try their luck to become a model.Modeling is one of the toughest job and is usually taken for granted by the ones who want to do it for social media or gaining attention or popularity.
In the Misleading Industry and among Multi-faced people we are unable to analyze that what’s wrong with us.We aren’t getting chance because of lack of skills or because of the partial / money minded people who aren’t giving us chance or asking for money for that single chance.
Recently we posted a requirement for Runway Model from our Instagram and got a very good response. Some models shared their Profile on Mail, some on Instagram inbox and some on WhatsApp.
A Few Things Which we noticed and should be corrected by as soon as possible by the people who want to become Model or crack the assignment:-
1) Always Share your Profile on Email -share your profile on mail rather than sending a few pictures on WhatsApp or inbox.Remember the person who will be giving you an opportunity in modeling won’t take the pain to copy your pics and details from Instagram / Whatsapp and then organize it in a mail, as there will be a number of options to choose from.By doing this you are even reducing your chances to be considered by the same person for any other assignment.Sharing profile on mail helps the casting person to maintain the database of models in one place.In case the model is good but just can’t fit on one type of requirement mat fit in another kind of requirement.Even mail subject should be precise like Modeling Profile, Models for so and so assignment. So whenever the concerned person want to go through the profile he can search it easily with the keyword like model , modeling.
2)Add Useful information with your pictures: The Format Should include: Name, Contact, Location , DOB, Height, Waist, Chest/ Bust, Hips. Hair Color, Eye Color, Shoe Size.
3)Only Send Professional Pictures -Most of the profiles gets rejected because of amateur pictures. Mobile click , A photographer friend / free photographer sometime can’t give you the images which can help you to excel or start modeling
4)Understand what is good portfolio & Invest In it. – Presentation / Impression is everything. A bad tea in a good looking will attract more people than the good tea in a bad cup.Your portfolio will leave no very less impression on the other person if your pictures are lifeless.Remember every return needs investment. And if you are not investing in your portfolio or not taking makeup and stylish with your shoot.Then you should start wishing for work rather than earning it.
5)Drop everything and mail your profile first – Keep your complete profile ready in your mail.So that whenever there is a requirement you can share your profile without any delay. In many instances, the requirement is so urgent or shortlisting is done on the same day.Hence that decreases the probability of getting shortlisted.
6)Keep updating your portfolio & Profile: There are many assignments which require an updated profile.In those cases, an outdated portfolio might result in rejection.So do understand the requirement of the assignment before you apply and send appropriate images.
